Ugly Blogger Sites Make Money

Years ago, when I knew almost nothing about marketing anything online, an acqaintance of mine (then, he is now a good friend) said anyone can make money online, even with an "ugly website". He didn't actually mean "ugly" like no one would want to go to it, rather, he meant, it didn't have to be super professional. Now, this intrigued me. Back then, I was always looking for low cost, easy ways to help people make some income here or there. However, having tried so many other things prior to this, I was skeptical. So before I would even begin to tell anyone about it, as I always do, I had to try it out for myself. I always felt that if I could make money at something, anyone can. Especially being such a novice at online type things. Well, I took what I learned from that experience & "tweaked" it. I didn't really know how to create any website, ugly or not. Thus, I found out about free blogs. Now, I understand all of this has changed dramatically over the years & that marketing online is an ever changing thing. However, I also know, I have created quite a few blogs to market affiliate programs that I feel are of quality & this has been productive. So, a little over a year ago, I set out to help an entire church group of people who wanted to make enough extra money so that one spouse could stay home with the kids, or just enough to have enough funds to last all month. It was a joy for me to use the little information I had learned to help so many people start with no or little money online, create a blog, join some reputable affiliate programs that they were in alignment with and make some money. I see my friend (who started me on this online affiliate market journey) & share with him the success stories of families I've helped with his information. It is a joy for both of us. |

This is a very interesting piece of intel, thanks. I am wondering if today it's best to have one blog that covers everything, or maybe as many others have done, have a number of blogs, each taylored to specific areas. The added exposure of having multiple blogs that cross link to each other is highly attractive, and also adds to the exposure on the search engines as well as other sites that have backlinks.
